GES Model United Nations (MUN) - Edition IV
Unlike other years, the fourth edition of GES MUN has been very successful and productive. Seventeen students from Navodaya Shishu Sadan, Hetauda, one participant from Motherland Secondary School and forty one delegates from GES participated energetically and the entire atmosphere was vibrant and lively. This edition also witnessed three days with two committee sessions: WFP focusing on ‘Food Security in the Conflict Zones’ and UN WOMEN emphasising ‘Eliminate Violence Against Women and Girls in Public and Private, Including Sexual and Other Exploitation’
During the experience sharing sessions, most of the delegates explained that the GES MUN has helped them to learn diplomacy and research about global issues which was beyond their textbooks. A few of them also said that they learned to present themselves even though it was their first time attending such an event. Most of them mentioned that this program helped them to come out of their comfort zone and be confident.
